Not many of you know that photography has been a hobby of mine since high school. Students today have the ease of working without chemicals in a darkroom or paying to have film processed. (I'm jealous.) Today I came across some wonderful infographics for photography teachers to hang in their classrooms. They are all visually beautiful and can act as guides for your students. I made sure to download only high resolution graphics so enlarging them will be clear and unpixelated. Thank you to all the credited creators of these works!

Where I Have Been the Last Month.....

Another thing which has been taking up my time is my photography. I've been taking classes trying to hone my skills and doing several photo restoration jobs. (I had a website but couldn't keep up with the work and a full-time teaching job)
(Photo of the 911 memorial was taken last October.)
No longer in the darkroom, I fell in love with Photoshop® when it was first released and spend many hours on my Mac. Here are some samples of the work I have done:

So, that's where I've been since school came to an end in June. I wanted to thank all my guest bloggers and fellow media specialists for keeping the blog alive. Oh, and thank all of you for allowing me to tout my songwriting and digital photography skills. Have a great summer everyone!

School Newspaper Advisers: 17 Websites For Student Photographers
It's tough to find really committed student photographers. I'm talking about the ones who are always there and ready for any assignment that comes their way. They also need a good camera, preferably a DSLR which they can use to capture sports, whether it is indoors or outdoors. I was fortunate this year to have an awesome photography editor, a young lady who manages to do well in all her classes, run on the track team AND keep after her staff of five photographers. If you are the newspaper adviser in your school, it is very important that your photographers know how to take pictures.
